Sarah Arthur is the award-winning author of numerous books for children, teens, and adults, including the bestselling Walking with Frodo: A Devotional Journey Through The Lord of the Rings (Tyndale, 2003) and A Light So Lovely: The Spiritual Legacy of Madeleine L’Engle, Author of A Wrinkle in Time (Zondervan/HarperCollins). A recognized authority on such writers as L'Engle and C. S. Lewis, Sarah is a frequent guest speaker for podcasts, conferences, webcasts, and documentary films, and has been interviewed by such major media outlets as The Washington Post and public radio. Her articles and essays have appeared in international publications such as Guideposts Magazine and have received numerous awards, including a Pushcart Prize nomination for her Awst Press essay “The Least of Us." Sarah's fiction explores the borderlands between fantasy and faith, particularly through portal stories and magical realism—often by flipping those tropes to explore contemporary issues of generational trauma, racial injustice, and the problem of suffering. Sarah lives in Lansing, Michigan with her husband and two elementary-aged boys.

Sarah’s fiction debut, Once a Queen, the first in a young adult fantasy series, will publish from Waterbrook in Winter 2024.
