We offer internships designed to provide an understanding of the role an agent plays, with the aim of preparing interns for their first entry-level position at another agency or publishing house. We attempt to develop strong administrative skills, improve reading and editing for publication, provide general knowledge of the industry, the publishing process, contract terms and negotiation, subrights, and other core aspects of the business. Internships usually run for the length of a semester and require at least 3 days in the office per week, although we are flexible with regards to scheduling. We particularly encourage local college or graduate students to apply, and can tailor the internship to meet your requirements for academic credit. If interested, please submit a cover letter and resume to email@example.com.
